Panasonic's original Crystal Engine advanced image processing circuitry helps deliver maximum performance from the CCD camera system. The Crystal Engine - the brain of the camera - processes the signal from each of the 3 CCDs independently, giving both moving and still pictures outstanding quality. Picture quality is also enhanced by the legendary optical technology from world renowned Leica Dicomar lens. These lenses feature a low dispersion glass and special multi-coating to minimize flare and ghosting in images. The Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S) system, which compensates for the effect of handshake as you shoot movie and still images - resulting in clear, sharp images. Gyrosensors detect the amount and direction of handshake and linear motors optically adjust the lenses as needed to compensate.
